Uganda will deploy 160 police personnel in Somalia. The Uganda police force said that they will send 160 man powers for peacekeeping operations. They said it on Thursday.


In the statement which released on Thursday, It has been seen that the officers have finished the 6 month corresponding pre-deployment training course. They completed their training course and deployed under the African Union Mission in Somalia. 


Police told that a team of five police officers were trained the force which are going to expand. ASP Figalo Maxime, leader of the five police officers. The team is a part of former police unit from African union. These type of units rotate annual basis.


Uganda was started to expand police units in Somalia under the African union mission from 2012 (July).
